Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using NeoNote (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

NeoNote is currently in public beta. Features, pricing, and availability may change. We will provide reasonable notice before making material changes that affect your data.

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account password. NeoNote encrypts your notes client-side before they leave your device — your password is the encryption key. We cannot recover encrypted notes if you lose your password.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

3. Your content

You retain all ownership of the content you create in NeoNote. By storing content through the Service you grant NeoNote a limited, non-exclusive right to store and transmit that content solely to provide the Service to you.

You may not use the Service to store content that is illegal, infringes third-party rights, or is used to harm others.

4. Service availability

We aim for high availability but make no guarantees. During the beta period, downtime, data loss, or unexpected behaviour may occur. We strongly recommend keeping regular encrypted backups using the built-in backup feature.

5. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We will delete your data within 30 days of account deletion.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practical.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, NeoNote is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for loss of data, loss of profits, or any indirect damages arising from your use of the Service.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
